I have been running for the past 5 years and have never experienced an injury. However upon increasing my mileage I developed a stress fracture in my left tibia higher up near my knee. I have been walking on it with pain for the past three weeks (no running in that three weeks) and was told by the doctor that I did not need a boot/crutches as I am far along and to do activities that don't hurt. I have been aqua jogging, lifting, and cycling. Does anyone have tips on what I should do? I am feeling frustrated because I know little about stress fractures. Thank you! Also is racing again in 2 months unrealistic? My team needs me but I'm not sure if I should get my hopes up (5k)
