Question for the shoe heads:
I live in the humid south and sweat a lot. I mean a lot. I look like I jumped into a pool when I get back from a 7-mile run. It makes it hard to run long in the summers because chafing gets so bad. I switch to half tights for long runs for this reason.
I still have not figured out the shoe situation. My shoes are sloshing after a normal maintenance run, and I am wondering if there is a shoe that doesn't hold on to water as much (steeple spikes!!!). Honestly, the ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% upper would be good, so I guess I could just run in those, but they are pricey.
I know the cooler weather is approaching, but I cannot be the only one to deal with this. I do run in multiple pairs of shoes to let them dry, but it doesn't solve the issue of sloshing mid run.
Thanks and hoping there are still runners here amid the political opinionistas.
