Not sure what the story is there.
On a different note, Corning boys look very strong and deep this year.

Good idea on how the Northwest region is gonna look on the boys side.
Also, Jesuit boys had 6 (almost 7) guys under 16. That’s insane. 4 of those guys are coming back next year too.

Excited for next Friday's Woodbridge Classic. NP is aiming for some spectacular results there! How far under 14 can the Salmons and the Youngs go, or one of each?
Can anyone challenge Nico's 13:39?
Josh Ruff invitational. 1300 athletes and almost every top team in No Cal there. Dominate performances for Davis Boys and Oak Ridge Girls on the Sections course, challenging at Willow Hills.

North Allegheny PA already had a solid team coming in to the season, with potential to qualify for NXN and stuff, now they also have a freshman Jack Bertram who won the Red, White, and Blue Classic.

Better results here…
https://tx.milesplit.com/meets/421041-garmin-milesplit-tx-xc-invitational-2021/results/761042/formatted#.YUBCJiU8IlQSo at this point, the second NXN spot behind Grapevine is looking to go to either The Woodlands or Southlake Carroll. We’ll get a better idea when those 2 teams race each other.
With Grapevine being as good as they are, you have to think they are going to take an at large team out of the South NXR region
College Park Invite 2021:
Atascocita had 7 guys under 16:15 in the 5k. 5 of them are coming back next year.

At-large bid selection mostly depends on the depth of the region. If Grapevine is the only highly ranked team in the South, that’s not enough to get an at-large bid.
Loudoun Valley was ranked 1st in the nation in 2018 and won NXN, but there was no at-large team in the southeast that year.
I think the regions most likely to have an at-large bid on the boys side this year are Southwest (there might be 2 from that region this year due to depth), California, Northeast, and maybe Midwest

My understanding was that at large bids depended on how your team did throughout the year against other teams that auto qualify for NXN. For example, southlake is travelling to Woodbridge to compete against many teams who will auto Q. Southlake would have a strong chance at an at large bid in a scenario where they beat some good teams at Woodbridge and also beat the Woodlands at state, but then turn around and lose to the Woodlands at NXR.

The Louisiana state meet is Tuesday the week of NXR. That’s going to be a very difficult turn around. Why would their state do that??
