Hey guys,
My 5k PR last year was an 18:02 on an XC course. In track, I ended up running a 4:51 mile and a 10:23 2 mile off of 25 miles a week at its best. Since then, I have been training hard going into my senior year, bumping up the mileage to around 50 per week now. Some workouts I have done: 5 miles @ 5:45-50, 7 mile cutdown from 6:30 –> 5:30, and a 10 miler @ 6:15 pace. I think my runs indicate better fitness than my track times. Do you think going under 16 min for the 5k is reasonable 2.5 months away on a fast course? If not, what should I be doing to get to that point? Any advice is appreciated.
