I live in Northern Colorado. A major (for us) outdoor music festival scheduled next week was cancelled due to covid. Also, a bike tour held by a local brewery that usually got thousands of riders was also cancelled. Here in larimer county (northern Colorado), our last covid death was on July 17th. There has been an uptick in cases but literally no one is dying. Yet, we are seeing events cancelled any way. So I would guess that this is just the beginning of new lockdowns and cancellations of all large outdoor events. I wouldn't be surprised to see pro football playing with limited seating and college games playing to empty stadiums.
