Terry Rad Oly Coach
He Guelph/Gryphons site lists Jason Kerr as both Associate Coach and Head Coach for T&F.
The Gryphons facebook page posted this Thursday afternoon (12 Aug):
" Following an extensive national search, the University of Guelph's Department of Athletics has named Terry Radchenko the new leader of the Gryphons cross country and endurance programs.
Radchenko spent the last nine years at the University of Toronto, helping build their endurance program into a national powerhouse that helped the Varsity Blues win three consecutive U SPORTS women's Track and Field championships (2015-2017) and one U SPORTS cross country championship (2018). He guided dozens of student-athletes to national team selections, including three Olympians. He has worked at every level of the sport from youth development to high-performance and is one of the most well-respected endurance coaches in Canada.
"Terry Radchenko is a world-class coach with a resume that speaks for itself. He coaches with integrity and exudes passion and positive energy that resonates with everyone around him. I have admired his work for years and sincerely believe we've hired the best coach in Canada to help lead our team into the future."
Coach Radchenko poached from UofT by their old nemesis. If Toronto had any chance to match they're stupid to let him go. Without the middle distance machine he built UofT never get the titles they got this past decade.
For those who don't know, this guy coached BTC's DeBues-Stafford through junior/college (5th in Olympic 1500) and her sister Lucia (13th).
Congrats to Terry.
