Full Time? Part Time? Salary range? Term?
Why do coaches never seem to give enough information about a position? How is a person supposed to know if they might be interested?
Why not just put "Worker wanted at a college. Send resume, reference letters, birth certificate and proof of vaccination and maybe then we'll explain that its $5k for 10 months of 40 hour weeks."
More info please wrote:

It's fair to gauge interest first before getting into specifics.
Are you looking for a hard worker or someone with more democratic abilities?
When was the time a school record was broken?
Last individual and team championship?
What are your takes on the following:
Grey area
Quality vs Quantity
40 mpw for 800m runners
800m runners racing cross country vs fall sprint training
50 or 70 mpw for 1500 runners
To clarify, this is in Philadelphia?
Yes, this is just outside Philadelphia. In answer to some of the other questions:
Part-time (I am also part-time)
Stipend - $3000 paid out during the season
I was hired last fall and the team does not have much history of success. Have barely had enough members to field a competitive team the last few years, so recruiting is huge part of the job. My main focus is building the roster up to a reasonable level. It is almost like building a program from scratch. At the moment, we only have XC, Women's Track being added for Spring 2022. I am not the track coach, unsure what they will do with that position.
I have a full-time job in addition to this position so I am definitely looking for a hard-worker. Someone who is doing it for the love of the sport, and willing to work on stuff throughout the year. The only in person time would be during the fall season. Practice during the week will be early morning some days and afternoon others.
Hope this helps! Reach out and I am happy to discuss more.

I don't understand these questions.
You should not ask these questions now.
If you are interested:
1) Send resume.
2) Send cover letter that explains why you think you are qualified.
IF you get an interview, THEN you ask your questions.

Are the HR and Legal teams at your institution aware that you are seeking coaching talent on this site? 10 minutes spent on the forums should give them pause about potential lawsuits and PR disasters.

This seems like a fine place to post a job, seems like the school prob doesn’t have a budget to post it other places.
Also I assume the coach who posted the job will look at the resume and call some references and look into the possible candidates not just hire some wanker with a list of stupid posts on this site.
This is likely not a great job for everyone but it sounds like an awesome opportunity for someone trying to break into college coaching and is willing to work hard!

That’s BS. You can at least say if it’s full time or part time. You can say the salary range. Don’t waste people’s time.
Only $3000 for the position of assistant coach? That's less than George Soros paid to vote for Biden twice.

Haha that is pretty funny… but 3k seems reasonable… again not an ideal gig for many but a great opportunity to break into coaching… not sure if y’all know this but tons of people volunteer every year that means they do this job for zero money, so 3k is 3,000x more money.
This site is full of people whinnying allll the time about being great coaches but they can’t get an interview, you may get an interview at this job or others like it so either take these jobs of don’t bother telling us how you coach at a high school and some local hobby joggers but don’t understand why they can’t get a p5 interview… take a part time job or volunteer, that’s how this works…
Full disclosure I don’t know anything about this job/program and don’t care if they find someone but I’m soooooo tired of people whining.
