Underneath all the #meetoo stuff you see in the media is a world where women are treating like sh#t in professional situations. I have been a lawyer for almost 20 years. When I first got into the law biz, it was almost an unwritten rule that powerful male attorneys would hire the hottest staff and young attorneys they could find so they could try to get some action on the side. I once worked for a guy who hired a hot receptionist and then had her babysit his kids so he could bone her when his wife was out of town without having to leave the house. His law partners had to fire him because he started smashing with a young in house counsel at a big company that the firm had a multimillion dollar book of business with. That created a conflict of interest that required the attorney to quit.
But in general, the victimhood, SJW, #meetoo, BLM, etc. is just a reflection of how people have come to understand that they are totally powerless to effect any sort of change in this world because the political system is dominated by corporate interests. Just look at Nina Turner's defeat. She was hugely popular in NE Ohio. But the corporate Dems swooped down and flooded the race with PAC money and beat her out. So, people are starving for a sense that they matter and can make a difference in the world. Victimhood ends up being the only outlet for what is otherwise a very good motivation to make the world a better place.
