Its crazy and it includes both sides of the political spectrum. People jump from having someone be rude or unfair to them to seeing it as victimizing them. Many people look for it and make it something big out of some small slight.
The metoo movement is a prime example. If someone inappropriately touches a womans back they make it a huge deal and might go to HR or start some civil suit. Many years ago I was at my wife's work party. It was her first year there. Her boss came over to me and she sat on my lap. It was awkward, I laughed it off, but now days that it would be huge and might get her fired.
Any joke or even reference to ethnic background or sexual orientation might get you fired.
Looking for racism everywhere and responding to any slight is another good example.
Being asked to wear a mask is being treated like you are being enslaved and have no freedom.
Being asked to get a vaccine for your job makes you a victim?
Its gotten out of hand.
