Trying to get bigger and stronger for his start in the 100 killed Lyles. But I think he might still win this 200 if he doesn’t make the massive mistake in his semi final of letting up and getting third. He wasn’t going to win the 200m out of lane three. Not this version of Lyles. 2019 Lyles would of still won but this year not so much. Had he been out where he should he’d of had a much better shot.
If he never messes with his weight and putting too much importance on the 100, then he’d of run 19.4 on this crazy fast track. His start had improved a little but not much and he’s lost his amazing top speed and speed endurance. Hopefully he pulls a Kerley and loses the weight and gets back to what he once was. But with young guys like Kenny B, Knighton , the lsu kid (can’t think of his name), he may never be the same guy.
Now if he gets on the right stuff then of course he can lol. I think it’s about time honestly. Same with Norman.
