Hassan looked pretty much exactly like she did in her last 3 races she’s 4/4 that’s just how she looks

Hassan is fine lol. looks like kipyegon will make her work though. no sit and kick
I thought Hassan looked fantastic. She won the heat even without really meaning to win, she just got up there, felt good, and figured why not? She can run MUCH faster than that.
Faster than Kipyegon? We shall see. But I would be shocked if anybody beats those two. Just as surprised if Warholm and Rai had not been the top two in their race, that level of surprised.

Yes, but she still has a margin of error over the others.
Kipyegon didn't need to run that fast. She was sending Hassan a message.
Kipyegon looks unbeatable. The Ethiopian looked good. Hassan, with her lethal kick, is dangerous. Laura Muir and GDS are medal possibilities.

It just doesn't get this hot and humid up on that farm in Vermont.
Didn't they have similar weather in Oregon when she won the trials?
No, even when it's over 100 degrees in the Pacific NW, it doesn't feel as bad as the humidity of DC, Florida, NY. Courtney Freirichs is from Missouri, which has horrible weather, and she ran her normal time. So I think Emily Sisson will do well as well. She's also from Missouri.
Was it the British guy? I noticed he says that basically every single race - "they're just walking out there" "pedestrian pace for athletes of this caliber" "incredibly slow first lap" etc. I think he is just conditioned to think that every race is a sit and kick and does not actually have any concept of time.
Glad someone else noticed it.

What we have is a body, not a machine.
Her body seems to have given in and in that semi final race, she just didn't have the lethal kick that she is known for.
We can all bet on this
chepeng'etich will take her out like a sbike stolen from a market place.
Where I come from, when a thief steals an unattended bike, he peddles it like his life depends on it because in this case, it does. He doesn't even sit He hunches over while peddling wildy.
That final will be epic!
...and don't forget that Letesenbet/Obiri and co will be waiting for her also.
