Folks seem to underestimate that Benjamin was even with one hurdle to go. The two best 400m hurdle runs ever at the same time. Amazing what competition can do

The IAAF tables discriminate against running, due to the events being more competetive. I can't accept this being equal to a 3:23, that is way too outlandish.
If he's clean I guess that means he could run sub-45 hurdles if doped. Really?

Every one of them doped. As world records must be now.

Doping is a natural subject for discussion. There is even one thread on Warholm and doping, Warholm not doping, and several other relevant threads to discuss that hot topic.
I still think of him as Karsten Warthog

Hard to say. Freaking impressive. But IMO the 800 WR is the "one". But it extremely close to that epic 400h race and yes, 7:20 WR.

That performance definitely rivals Bob Beamon's long jump world record in Mexico City. I still think Beamon's was better but this has to be #2.
Beamon broke the LJ record by 21 inches; Warholm breaks the 400H by 0.76
No. Beamon had altitude and max 2.0m p/s wind.
This was like 42.94 open 400m should be and is right around 3 seconds difference. Equal to Bolt's 200m WR
True he had altitude and a 2.0 wind, but Beamon was the only person who even challenged the previous record that day. If altitude made such a difference then others would have at least pushed the old record. The record entering the competition was 8.35 and Beamon went 8.90. Silver and bronze were only 8.19 and 8.16, respectively. He absolutely destroyed the record by nearly two feet.
Beamon record was impressive, maybe the most impressive at the time it was set, but it has now been improved. As impressive as it is, 2 other athletes have been better.
Rudisha WR is more about the performance than the record itself. I explain. I can think of an Athlete that could have run faster. Kipketer. With better pacing he could have run under 1:40.9. See his WR when he runs the first lap just behind the pacer who splits 48.1 you will see what I mean. I think Warholm WR is better.
Komen is a difficult one to judge. For me he is the most talented distance runner ever. And this was him at the peak of his capabilities. True that top athletes have tried to improve and were not close. However, I grew up reading that his 7:24 indoor WR was the "Everest" of distance running, yet we had Wale, a relatively unknown Ethiopian, pretty much equaling that WR. I think this WR is very strong but hasn't been challenged too often. I would give the edge to Warholm.
400m is crazy but it seems to me that we'd need a 42.9 to put it on pair with Warholm.
1500m, I am sorry to say, but i am a believer that El Guerrouj was doping.
5000m and 10000m, i don't appreciate the laser stuff, no way they can be compared to Warholm's.
Other records are difficult for me to judge. Sotomayor high jump looks impressive. Triple is there for a while. 3000m steeplechase looks like it will fall soon.
Honestly... I think only Bolt's 9.58 is compared to this. His 19.19 seems a bit too soft considering Blake ran 19.26.
Then the Ineos sub2h challenge.
Yes I think this is a nice way to put it. We have the sub-2h Marathon, the 9.58 100m and now the sub 46 400m hurdles as the three most impressive achievements in athletics.

Hate to be that guy but we can’t ignore the fact that 400h does not draw the same level of talent as other events because it has a sister event, the 400m, that is way more prestigious. Whichever human being is physiologically best suited for 400 hurdles is definitely racing the flat 400m. If the 400m didn’t exist and every athlete that competed in it instead trained their whole life for 400 hurdles, then Warholms time not only wouldn’t be a huge outlier, it likely wouldn’t even be a record at all.
This was an incredible race but I agree with your point. The same goes for the steeplechase. It doesn’t carry the same weight as the 1500, 5k or 10k. Let’s just be honest about that.
This man EASILY runs a sub 10, sub 20, sub 44. Easily!!!
Probably the biggest athlete in this Olympics.
Maybe a sub 1:43 too.
Best record ever is still women’s discus. The only true untouchable world record.
Best ever??
How about 9.58?

Cy Young and 511 wins?
This record is very good but not great.I always believed Kevin Young's 46.78
was soft.He clobbered last hurdle, stumbled, raised arm celebrating 20 meters
out and still ran WR.He would have come close to 46.40 or better and Young was
a good but not a great hurdler like Moses. This event is just coming close to what
it should have been a decade ago.Looking at this particular race,Benjamin if he
gets a bit stronger looks like he can run 45 flat.He goes out too slowly and then
tries to run people down like Sidney used to against Muhammed.Sidney at the
US trials changed tactics, trusted her fitness and just went for it at the start and
was rewarded with a WR.If Benjamin would trust his fitness and blast out of the
blocks,I see a sub 45 because he has the speed.
how do you post an image?

What is his first idea: Hey you guys. I have to rip my suit to show the world my nipples!
He was trying to rip the R off his singlet so that it would read “NO WAY”
Almaz Ayana running away from a stacked field in her 10k was pretty impressive too
