Anyone have the equivalent 1500 5k marathon etc. performances based on the world athletics tables?
Great question. 1341 points.
9.62
19.28
42.78
1:39.70
3:23.39
3:39.53
12:25.41
25:50.26
1:59:49
That race had BOTH the top-end strength of Bob Beamon's Olympic record, and the depth of the 2012 800 final. 6 of 8 finishers set a national record, and the top 3 in the race became the top 3 performers of all time.
This is beyond words. Can't wait to watch this back 100 times
It's gonna be great when Femke wins her race and both medals go to Evropa.
So refreshing to see these talented, clean athletes.
So many salty Americans on this forum. Nomnomnom
Forgot to add, this race was a place record for all places 1-8. So fastest 8th place time ever, fastest 7th, etc all the way to 1 (WR). Incredible
How much is this the super spikes and the fast Tokyo track?

I was 100% wrong on this - I thought 46.40-50 for the winner of this race setting a record that would last a while.
But I couldn't be happier to be wrong about this - probably witnessed a Mt Rushmore performance in the history of the sport tonight across all events. So where is this WR ranking? Does it beat Komens 7.20.67?
Simply incredible.
The slowest time to qualify for the semis in the 400 OPEN race was 45.64!

Easily (in both my subjective opinion and the IAAF tables). Greatest run in history, rivalled only by 9.58 and 19.19. Would also put Johnson's 19.32 in there too, at the time it was in another universe.

Yeah, I saw this and my immediate thought was: Wow, this has to be as good as Bolt's performances
I have no doubt in my mind he could go under 43.5 right now, he might even be able to go under 43.
God, a 45 second 400 is fantastic, and someone just did it while going over hurdles.
Scores 1340 points, worth a 3:23.46 1500 based on the 2017 scoring tables. Sickening. 7:14 in the 3k. 12:25 in the 5k. 25:50 in the 10k.
Benjamin ran the perfect race. He had him exactly where he wanted him, pulled up beside him, but then Warholm dug deeper and somehow had a little more in the gas tank!!!
The was the most amazing thing. If the weather is right I think you see the same from Sydney and Muhammad. But Sydney will catch her then pass her and run under 51.

those are arbitrary...remember when they had the scoring table as 2:06 was leaps and bounds better than all the other records?
Amazing!
Should be a public demand for Benjamin & Warholm to get free spaces in the 400m flat final.
The top six AVERAGED faster than thenworld record. Insane indeed. P.S. I believe Dos Santos ran the last 100 the fastest.
Drugs!!!!!
Why was Warholm outside after running the fastest Q? Should he have been in lane 5?

He prefers the outside
