Hassan is ELITE
Hassan is ELITE
Hassan won easily.
That field was soft as f***. Total pushover.
That was the easiest of the three.
Hassan making it look way too easy. Closed in 57.xx
There are other splits - the pack surged, dropping the Americans, then slowed down. This all happened within a kilometer. Really? This happens all the time.
The Americans looked like crap, they certainly didn’t surge.

Hasan. 1down, 2 more to go
That looked easy for her. It played RIGHT into her hands. It's like all those guys who would leave it to a kick when Farah was at his peak. Why do that?!
Amazing how Hassan trained as a pro for years and became the GOAT immediately when being coached by salad bar. When has this happened before?
burrito gals losing to the japanese woman with a fun hat. gottem.
Was it still very warm and humid? They made it very easy for Hassan. 3 min pace until the last k. Nobody dared to push the pace even a little.

Free stream here. I've been coming here for free streams, checking different channels. Ch 11 is showing track now from the Sony Ten 1 (India) stream. Best with some kind of adblock (uBlock Origin is what I'm using).

Thank you so much!

Tsegay hasn't left the rail. Been in 3rd/4th the whole race so far. I think it's her race
Did she think she was going to outkick Hassan and Obiri? The woman has run 14:13. Why wouldn't she try to break the field?

is american distance running officially dead?
It's not dead but we definitely need to recalibrate our expectations. Nobody's actually a medal threat in the distance events.
I, personally, am very proud of our stunning and brave USA athletes who ran their best, did not give up, and finished that difficult 5k in the sweltering heat. We have two of the top 15 fastest runners in the world over 5k!
Morris really having a tough time. Rain, then got hurt, now broke her pole. One more miss and she's out at 4.40.
Lots of vaulters are dropping like flies since the rain.

I know. Thank you for giving Alberto Salazar his due. I get tired of the same old letsrun mob canceling of Salazar all the time. Salazar Derangement Syndrome. He did seem to get the most out of his athletes, and it's nice to see someone on here make that point.

not a pole vaulting fan, but that was tough to watch. Gutted for Sandy Morris.
In the United States, everything is on
and just watch the HD livestream.
Hassan speed is next level. No one is out-kicking her. Americans ran like, well, Americans.
In pole vault news, Sandi Morris was first vaulter up after resuming after the rain, and broke her pole. She landed hard and suffered a left leg/hip injury. She did get to another try and was definitely hurting. She never cleared 4.55. Sad for her.
Valerie Allman leads in the discuss going into the final round.
have to admit I thought cranny and Schweitzer would have a much better showing

The pack did slow down, pretty obviously.
No they didn't. K splits were 3:00, 3:00, 2:59, 2:58, and 2:38.
Yep, they weren't going to slow down in that part of the race, it was an idiotic comment by the announcer and shows a real lack of understanding basic elite racing
