And his accent, if he is spoken to, could draw trouble. Oregon has a long, sad history of attacks on African minorities. Tragic, racist stuff.
For Amos to base in Eugene, away from home, in not the best of places for him, wins me over BIG time. I can't imagine what he has been through on a personal level, living there. Nobody there would no who he is, nobody. That he's a medalist and such. No favors done for him.
He has my respect for the path he chose.
