Italians hate black people but they won't this one.At least not for awhile.

I’m just glad that I get the Canadian channel to be able to watch it live on TV.
I didn’t check the Letsrun’s TV schedule that it’s only on Peacock in the US.
i dont get people buying peacock when you can just go to nbcports.com and you can watch any event live or on replay. peacock targeting the boomers i guess.
also, that was a great final. it was wide open after Su and Baker with huge PBs in the semis. Wouldve preferred to see Kerley win and Baker on the podium, but it was fast and entertaining.
Italian? My mother in law pronounces it like EYE-talian, which I find funny.
Americans are all messed up about race. Europeans are all messed u about race. The whole world is messed up about a skin deep concept. The world is becoming a melting pot so cultural heritage is our real identity for the enlightened. For the cave dwellers among us, let Quentin Tarantino explain it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcZCGMCDzbU

lmao exactly. that guy who's like "UMMM ITALIANS ARE ACTUALLY WHITE WE'RE NOT ALL LIKE THOSE SOUTHERN GUINEAS WHO MOVED TO NEW YORK" should not be laying any claim at all to a guy who's literally black

As an athlete, I would have hated that light show before the start. It was dazzling and took too long. The Canadian guy was blinking and covering his eyes after it was over.
I mean, you're trying to do the run of your life and you have to undergo a blinding light show... that goes on and on.
I don't watch Diamond League or other world events. This isn't normal, is it?
Actually, it's been used in Worlds before. You sound uninformed about track because you only watch the Olympics. Go post on nbc.com?
I just said I don't watch track.
How about this headline?
"Texans Sweep Gold and Silver in the 100m"
Brothers Johnson owe Fred Kerley and Kerley family an apology.

And Peacock keeps going out for me, every 5 minutes or so. My internet connection is fine and Peacock Olympic coverage is the only time it happens. UGH!!!!!!!!! So dammmmmmm frustrating.
Italians are loving Lamont in Tokyo like Americans loved Jesse back in 1936 in Germany
until he got back home.Wait until Lamont gets back home to Italy.
I'm italian, 100m dash enthusiast.
I am happy as an Italian that Jacobs got the gold , this win is for sure the biggest Italian achievement in italian sport history. He made four Italian records this year and also has the European record now.
I would have loved to see Gatlin winning the gold in this Tokyo Olympic final, I am still very sorry for him for that hamstring injury in the final of the U.S trials.
Bromell the favourite for the gold was the most disappointment (maybe an injury).
After the semis I bet on 1 Baker 2 Jacobs 3 Kerley or Degrasse, but also not excluded Jacobs for the gold. I predicted a 9,77-7,78 for the gold. Three sub 9,90 for the podium with three PR's.
Baker choked, solid run by Kerley that chose to quit the 400 and dedicate on the 100's by this year, that guy is 22 very young. Jacobs made history for Italy today.
Next year World Champs gonna be lit with the return of Coleman, Bromell, Baker, Kerley, Degrasse, Jacobs, and hope for Gatlin to be in the final (you can't count the old man out).

Sweet. I wondered when someone was going to post that.
As you point out, people have been confused about race for a long time. Many modern Americans don't understand that our ancestors drew far more distinctions among groups than we do. They were happy to admit that Italians were white, but inferior to other whites. To them, whites were superior to other races, but, as the man said, "some whites are more superior than others."
For those who want to know more, here's a nice oped by the legal historian David Bernstein:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2017/03/22/sorry-but-the-irish-were-always-white-and-so-were-the-italians-jews-and-so-on/US Americans are mostly stupid and racist. Both white and black
While on subject, white racist can never win, because they insist on purity At the same time, it is enough to have ,"one drop of black blood" to become"brother".
Jacobs has pretty much European face, with somewhat darker skin, musculature resembling a black man.
Olympics are not about race Nothing is Only racist give a F about it. Olympics are about olympism and somewhat about personal and national pride .
Back to first sentence, knowing their ancestors, both white and and black, leaves not much room to wonder about why modern US Americans turned the way they have .
That was painful to watch wrote:
It was the most boring 100m in recent history. I should have stayed asleep. Idgaf😂
See my username.
It was the most exciting 100m in years. You need to stop sucking off homeless people and concentrate on being a good person and not such a waste of oxygen.
ok...so by this logic, he is also the first non-black winner since 1980

europe (and the rest of the world for that matter) have plenty of racists. including italians that infamously throw bananas at black players in serie a.
He was born in the US but lived in Italy since he was a few months old. He said in an interview I read earlier that he feels Italian in every cell of his body and struggles with English.
In terms of features he looks like a light skinned black guy to me especially without the shaved head:
