Huge improvement in one year. History shows us how this occurs at his age. Italy has the most doping bans of all countries. Hopefully they catch him doping. As that’s what he is - a doper.
I would love to see you say he's a doper to his face.
Apparently the guy was a just below the top long jumper for many years and only not too long ago went all in on the 100, so he's still on a learning curve.
Could be o doper anyway of course, but the late bloomer thingy has legit reasons from the main event change.
yes he is,but so is everybody else.

Yes, he's doping but nobody else is.

Yes. Look at the all time lists. Look at history. You seem like a person who is probably more interested in herstory though
He’s been on fire all year, I don’t think he’s had a bad race.

Would be more than happy to do so. Dopers need to be called it and it doesn’t get much more obvious than this.
You are so tough!!
I'm genuinely puzzled as to why we would think that anyone clean would stand a chance of winning an Olympic final now. In any event.
I love Italy and would love to believe it was a legitimate run but that's a huge improvement without much of a curve into the mid to low 9.9's?!? If he showed progression downwards, then I'd be more inclined to accept the result but what were his last 10 or 15 races like??? Something smells fishy here!
Herea an interesting question: if he had competed as an American, would he have been able to MAKE the team? Too 3 at the US champs?
Isn't it wild that one could make a good arguement towards "no", but here he is, Olympics CHAMP, regardless.

Well to be fair Bromell went from spectacular back to good but not great. Weird as it is Kerley held up the best since Trials though Baker was maybe hurt by leaving his best race in the Semis. With a wide-open field a guy like Jacobs could win. On the digital feed the commentator astutely compared it to 2003 when Kim Collins took advantage of a softer field to win. I have no idea if Jacobs is a doper but the conversion to a track event from field event thing does have some precedent. As I said on another thread, if he had gone through the NCAA/American system I have to believe he would’ve been converted to a sprinter long before his age 24-25 season.
Fred Kerley will end his career with a lower combined time in the 100, 200, 400 than Michael Johnson.
Because 90% of them are clean. You obviously are not on the inside like some of us to know. I wish that you posters would just go away rather than beating this dead horse.
hahahahahahaa god you are the saddest
If Bob Beamon could do it, why couldn't he?
I agree. But without a proper 2020 season it’s harder to say.
There’s an Italian interview with the lad that sheds more light on his improvement curve.
He became a lot more professional, started training specifically for the sprints and hired a sports psychiatrist to help him get over the fact he grew up without a father and was letting it impact him.
Either way, he ran the three rounds of the Olympics to perfection.
