Did Su just get assisted when crossing the finish line by the Italian? Kinda looked that way. (not saying he should be DQ'd or anything)
+0.9 for the final heat.
Final will be lots of guys closely-packed. Hopefully.
have asians historically been faster than white guys in the sprints?
that shocked me
This is the most open 100 final since idk when… May be a photo finish for literally almost everyone in the field. Pick for now is either Ronnie Baker or Jacobs
Brommel musn't have prayed hard enough. Bye.
That was AWESOME. Just when Jonathan and I are - I guess the track isn't that smart. These dudes can barely break 10.00.
I don't think I've ever seen that before. The top 3 seeds all from the same heat. Come back in 2 hours boys and do it again.
Let's hope that didn't wear them ot for the final.
What's the fastest two 100s ever in the same day, cumulative besides Bolt?
Here are Bolts top 5.
2009 Bolt. 19.47 ( 9.89+9.58)
2012 Bolt. 19.50 (9.87+ 9.63)
2008 Bolt. 19.54 (9.85+9.69)
2016 bolt 19.67 (9.86+9.81)
2013 Bolt. 19.69 (9.92+9.77)
Anyone know who is #2?
and now they are not playing the 100h.
Really don't understand the wind readings.
Heat 1 minus .1
Heat 2 minus .2
Heat 3 plus .9
I guess the times reflect the readings but to this degree? The wind shifted completely?
That looks like a huge basic PB for Su, I think he was at 9.92 and this is something like 9.87/9.88.
HUGE
why the heck can't peacock have separate feeds for gymnastics and track.

Because that would make too much sense and the viewers would get what they wanted
Su has run 9.91 twice in the past. He opened with a 9.98 earlier this season and basically just did qualifiers since then. Randy Huntington knows what he’s doing
It's still Baker's race to lose. His reaction time was 0.190. Su's was 0.142.
I am sitting in Norway watching Danish TV. 100% track, no commercials.
It is Discovery that has the right for Norway.
Disco sucks.
So I go with the Danish TV
Baker has been super underrated all year, understandable given injury history, but when he’s healthy he’s always great

Seemed like a shorter than usual break between semi 2 and 3 as well, because of the technical delay during semi 1. Might be a crosswind or something like that, that 3rd semi was shocking.
Even aside from his final time Su's start out of the blocks and first ~30 meters was incredible. It would be up there with anyone else, if I were redoing my picks I would say he's a medal favorite now. Still feeling good about Kerley from his heat though

the nbc olympics stream is working for me right now. thank god.
The NBC stream keeps freezing on my Samsung smart tv, but not on my laptop. Weird.
Yeah I remember his opener this year, I waxed poetic about his form, I think maybe the best I have ever seen, for anybody.
How did this race look?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
