Amos in, what a turn

Yes. Amos.
I like Bosse. He seems to have a good sense of humor and he's usually in the mix. He didn't look good on the back stretch of that semi and I wasn't thinking he'd go through anyway.
He hasn't been the same since that "fight" he had outside the casino a few years back.
Could he come back?
I don't speak (or read) French so it's hard for me to follow his career.
Has he been injured? Does anyone know what's going on?

Like Giles and Oliver would, right?
Yeah man Britain is so STACKED this year! Kerr winning the 1500 easily am I right? Because his single frontrun 3:31 this year somehow means more then the several times Big Tim has frontrun sub 3:30!

Yes. Amos.
Unfortunately the judges do not share your opinion. Perhaps the judges will incur the wrath of Karma in their future lives.

Coevett goes home devastated as usual. He gloated at Amos’s fall with as much glee as he showed when he assaulted that African in the locker room. Now the truth comes out and it’s another failure for old Coevett. What a loser.
Calm down Sam, leave Covett alone.
Bosse
On November 4, 2019, he announced on Facebook that he was separating from his trainer Alain Lignier51, with who trained him to his world championship win in 2017, and began training under Philippe Dupont, former trainer of Mahiedine Mekhissi and Morhad Amdouni.
2020 and 2021 seasons.
On February 12, 2020, for his first indoor 800m since 2016 (and his first indoor race since 2018), Pierre-Ambroise Bosse finished second in 1:47:52 behind Kenyan Collins Kipruto at the Sastra meeting. in Sweden53. On February 19 at the Liévin meeting, he won in 2 min 19 s 26 over 1000 m, the first victory of his season, but failed to beat Mehdi Baala's French record which dates from 2005 (2 min 17 s 01) 54. These will be his only races of the season.
In 2020 he ran 1:47.52 indoors , and 2:19.26 also indoors in Liévin. Those were his only races of the season.
In 2021, he began his winter season with a third place over 800 m at the indoor meeting in Karlsruhe, with a time of 1:46:40. He appeared on this occasion with a black t-shirt with the words “Heart to take ”and the new Nike spikes because he no longer had sponsorship for this new season, not renewing his contract with Puma which ended at the end of 2020.
He was French indoor runner-up in Miramas on February 20, 2021, behind Benjamin Robert, four days later he improved his personal indoor record in the 800m at the Madrid meeting, finishing third in 1:45.95.
Personally I think he came into the Olympics vastly lacking race experience and his usual fitness and I’m not sure if he’ll ever get it back. He’s a great athlete but I think his win at the world championships in 2017 was something of a fluke although some people will react angrily to this opinion and I’m sorry if I offend. I think he’s a clean athlete in the sense that he doesn’t take prohibited substances but I don’t think he would generally be at the top at 800 m running because his lack of consistency and dedication. I follow him and he confesses to being a very lazy person usually not getting up before around midday. Not criticizing him but I don’t think he has the dedication to be at the very top and stay at the very top for years on end. Guys like Amos have much more dedication than this French runner, Bosse.
Did I forget to mention that he loves cats more than humans and on TV interviews he always makes references to his cats. This is somewhat bizarre but very engaging for people to follow. He’s a curious person, a maverick.
I recall another time when he was interviewed by famous French sports TV journalist, Nelson Montfort (this journalist is also a polyglot mastering five languages )and Bosse started imitating the TV journalist mimicking his accent and mocking him. It was somewhat hilarious if not tragic to do so on air.

Great pity. He would have got into the final alright. Had the times article not come out about cocaine, you have to imagine Dustin would have got in.
Huge disappointment for team gb but exciting future all the same provided Dustin gets his head screwed on like burgin does.
Yes it's true, they are all young (in Dustin and Birgin's case ridiculously young) and even Giles is still only 27. I wonder though if perhaps he might see the 1500m as his future considering the competition coming up (not that it's much easier at 1500)? He apparently only runs 20 km a week with the rest on an elliptical bike, yet he ran a 3:33.
Lets hope Kerr and Wightman perform to their best. I think Jack Heyward has an outside chance of making the final too.
And of course our women have been amazing in the 800.

Nothing offensive. I agree with the assessment of the WC 800- right place, right time. Even HE was shocked.
I kind of got the impression that he may lack dedication and likes to have fun.
I knew he had a cat but I have a couple ex GF's that will LOVE him when I tell them that he loves cats more than humans.
Thanks for the info- he's a cool guy with a good sense of humor. I hope he can come back.
Rotich has looked impressive. Amazing the way he just stepped around the runners in front of him in the home straight. 1.44 with even splits and it was effortless. He will win the final and could easily go 1.42 if pushed.

woulda coulda shoulda - when Brits are on stake you're untouchable in that disciplin.
Will the 1500 also see a clean British sweep, Coevett?

Rotich has looked the best yes. He has that finishing gear that you see from Tuka or Murphy but he has run patiently and smart with more aggression than them. The whole you have one move in an 800 and that’s it he’s taken to heart as at 150-250 out he just goes and trusts his finish. The chance to beat him is going out in sub-50.5 in my view. He is way too comfortable at the paces they’ve been going out at.
No good way to slice it this was disappointing from the Brits. Dustin bombs his heat. Giles ragged after going out slow and banking on his finish. Rowden tactically dreadful.
Amos very fortunate to get advance but to be transparent I think Tuka is luckiest of all because I believe Amos was going to beat him.
Predicting:
1. Murphy 2. Rotich 3. Amos but I am a homer ha
Rotich will have too much for Murphy.
It’s a fair take. I think Murphy is doing exactly what he did at USAs - he has exerted the least to get through with his wily last 100m tactics. He’s ready to unleash the negative split including a 25-flat 200 that I could see putting Rotich away

This is an Olympic final, not the US trials. He will finish well - but only for a minor placing at best.

How do you control your nerves when you see the letters GB?
These Olympics could be a great success for Britain:
These are good Gold forecasts:
400m Solomon
1500m Jakob
5000m McSweyn
Marathon Levins
400H Warholm
Steeple Raitanen
LJ Montler
PV Marschall
1500W Mageean
5000W Seccafieb
LJW Stratton
100HW Visser
200W Day
SteepleW Gregson
PVW Kennedy
add the four relays still to come and we are talking about 15+ British Golds. When has this happened last time Coevett? 1884?
