Has a track meet EVER had that many viewers? (With the exception of that YouTube celebrity meet put on by Logan Paul or whoever.)

The other week, people were touting how "successful" Centrowitz's AR attempt was from a viewership standpoint because it garnered something like 6k viewers
CrossFit markets itself well. The Netflix documentaries are extremely popular, and it seems to excite a lot of gym-goers (despite the fact cross fit athletes don’t train using WODs).
Running’s biggest problem is that sprinting is ultimately boring if you’re not quick, and distance running requires a body type that nobody wants.
Anyone ever watched and thought the run legs are complete BS?
Event 10 was a 2 x 1.5 mile runs with 90 toes to bar mixed in and the winning time was just over 21mins. I've always felt that they lie about the run distances (by purposefully shortening them) but I think this proves it because there is no way these manlets are running the required pace to finish that in 21 minutes. The T2B would take a few minutes to cycle through meaning they would need to be going at around 19 minute 5k pace and they are jogging around.
108k viewers now
Distance runners go home devasted.
I know a lot of hobby joggers that love to hate on CrossFit. it’s obviously out of jealousy.
The numbers don’t lie. CrossFit passed distance running along time ago in relevance.

A bunch of puffy meat heads on gear plodding around lifting way less than they should be. There are guys in the Olympics weighing 60 lbs. less that do clean and jerk/snatch warmups at the weight the guys are breaking their backs trying to lift. Throw in awful form and it’s an all-around clown show. And if that wasn’t enough, let’s have everyone crawl through a 23:00 5k. I really think half the viewers are there to make fun.
CrossFit is more relatable. It’s just a bunch of hobby games. Like touching your toes and doing monkey bars and stuff. Anyone can do that so it’s relatable to the average person. It is not relatable to run a mile all out of a 5k all out and much less a 10k all out. The 100m is relatable because anyone can sprint all out for 100 meters. If track meets were just hours and hours of 100m races with little games in between it would be very watchable.
Ya know, something like a 100m race with a 40 meter pond in the middle. Then 100m race with a rock wall to climb over. Then a 100m race with monkey bars in the middle. Then a 100m race with a tire flip on the middle. And so on for a couple hours of all kinds of different things.
That would garner millions of viewers.
isn't that spartan racing?
CrossFitters are also generally more attractive than pure distance runners.
