Maybe it goes much deeper but with so much talent in the country and the expectation that more than 1 of you is going to be on the podium plus 1 woman defending the gold, one GOAT looking for the triple...competition is going to be fierce and silver a disappointment vs an underdog country where any medal is a major thing and more than 1 of you medalling will be totally wild and unexpected. SAFP ran a crazy time back in June too, 10.62? I think. Then here she's left watching ETH run 10.61 and thinking she had that in her. Yeah could be some major beef behind it but not sure I'd be able to run about in delight if I was in SAFP's shoes

There’s no doubt Thompson is under appreciated. SAFP gets all the pub and ETH was the defending double spring champ and did it twice.
I think that alone just moved her ahead of SAFP on the list of greatest female sprinters. The “Mommy Rocket” , how fn stupid is that lol, got smoked and she knows that’s her last Olympics while Thompson could have a shot at the Bolt triple double.
If SAFP is still around the time the next Olympics come then d@mn they would have to finally bust her lol.
