Shamier Little would've been PERFECT for this team
Shamier Little would've been PERFECT for this team
What a clown you are.
There is a reason you are not a coach, and are not at that level.
It is a GOLD medal…at the OLYMPICS. It carries the same weight as the 100m dash, and skateboarding. Those who disrespect the event do so at their own peril, as the US coaching staff did.
A truly embarrassing moment for the US Olympic team. The Polish and the Dominicans took the event seriously and were rewarded for it handsomely.
Even forgetting that the US had multiple athletes sitting at home who could have performed better; the coaches should have instructed that running most of the race in lane 2 (as they did) was poor strategy. Furthermore, after the debacle in the heats, they had the first handoff happen at the very beginning of the zone, and half a second was lost there (worsened by a truly rough 2nd leg). That lost the race.
Poor coaching, poor decision making by USATF. And a GOLD MEDAL was lost because of it.

That is not true. After the top 3 400 runners, USATF could have chosen whomever they wanted to for the additional relay pool. It is a valid argument that Little might have run a faster 400 relay leg than the #5 400 finish at USA OT. You could even argue that Little should have been added as an extra 400 leg instead of the third female HJer who didn't even make the final of her event. We'll see how the race affects Bol later on in the 400H.
You can pick anyone who is on the team for the relay pool. Shamier Little ISN'T on the team and isn't in Toyko. So she obviously can't be on a relay or in anything.

You're saying that you, and not the athletes, decide the value of a mixed relay medal. If it's so prestigious, why do athletes believe it's not worth even a visit to the track to compete?
Not a big deal. I wouldn't want to see our top men or women in this. Its too early in the week. They put in the reserves and they came up short.

Who the hell cares about a mixed 4x400 😂😂😂 I for one didn’t want to see any of our top runners on it when they all have individual events to worry about. Lastly, the stupid people asking for Shamier recall she didn’t run the individual 400m at trials and failed to make the 400m hurdle team, so she can’t be at the Olympics sadly.
You are incorrect here.
We will see if USATF relay selection is absolutely terrible when we see who runs the real 4x4s. As of now Mu is not listed in the relay pool…
She doesn't need to be listed dope.

Remarkable that no one understands this. Little could have been selected for the relay pool when the relay pool was entered after the trials. There are very few limitations written into the rules as to who USATF can enter in the relay pool. The US chose the 5-8th runners from the OTs in 400m men and women as the makeup of the relay pools. The didn't include Little although she could have.
Since she was not entered in an individual event in Tokyo she was not a possibility for the relay.
The f*ck it carries the same weight....
Tell Morgan Pearson the mixed relays don’t matter.
Very LetsRun though to shrug off events involving both men and women.
