Mu jogged her 1:58 today, and she jogged her 1:56 at the trials. She’s never been pushed in an 800 and she said so much at her post race interview. I expect her final 800 to be the run of the games. She’ll front run, going out in 58.xx and be just in front at 400, then she’ll close in 56.xx and utterly destroy the rest of the field. I think she’ll be just under 1:55 and nobody else will be within 2-3 seconds of her by the end. With 200 m to go she will be all alone in the camera frame.

Yes, 19 years old and at least 5ft 10in tall. Her stride is long and effortless, she just eats up track. Goule probably has to run 25% more strides to cover the distance. She won’t break the WR or OR tomorrow, but she will have both records before she retires.

This is weird but I really want to offer praise to NBC for their coverage. I guess it depends on your cable package, but I've been able to watch entire races with no interruptions - even the Men's 10,000! No personal stories about somebody who is competing in memory of their dead goldfish or anything! I've been watching with this page that was posted by LetsRun. My only challenge is to avoid postings on Facebook, etc., that are spoilers.
Mu really looks like she has another gear - or two. As far as positioning, I think the most important thing is that she doesn't get tripped. If you can front run and have the quality to get away with it - go for it. The other women looked trashed out. Just the fact that she never looks stressed has to make you wonder what would happen if she floored it.

It doesn't even make sense though. There was nothing offensive about it. In fact I think 'female version of David Radisher' sounds worse. Yes people look down at women on here sometimes but I don't think this was an example of it at all.

I guess it also depends on where you live. I have a pretty good cable package but the men's 10,000 was not available to me on live TV, probably because it went at 4:30 am local time on the west coast. I did wake up early enough to live stream the last two laps on nbcolympics.com, which was nice.
