Hi all, so I came down with an achillies injury sometime in late May. I was just coming out of my season.
To get straight to the point, I don't have a lump - for this reason I don't think it's tendinitis, and I don't have any swelling. No pain when I run or walk and I don't feel pain when doing eccentric exercises. I only feel the pain when I pinch it. (non-insertional). The pain used to be a 7/10 and now its around a 2/10 due to not running for a whole month. (aside from a diagnostic .5 mile run every couple of weeks).
I do those eccentric heel drops but is there anything else to help speed up this recovery? My season starts some time in November and I at least want to have somewhat of a base during pre-season.
I'm a little upset because I was supposed to be racking up a lot of mileage this summer to have a strong track season as a senior.
Thanks
