You basically just made two contradictory predictions. Which is it?

I made one bold prediction.
Then in parentheses I wrote how quickly I would likely be wrong.

Then you're basically retracting your prediction. You can't predict something happens and simultaneously predicting it won't happen.
Double polish MD medals through Lord Dobek and Marcin
Simotwo out in semis

Good one. If the 10k is in the 26s I think he’ll almost certainly medal (I actually think he’s close to being the favorite), but he hasn’t shown great form and might be in trouble especially in a slow race
Grow up.
* Seidel medals
* Javaugh Harrison double gold
* Mu breaks 1:55
* Thomas gets within .15 of FloJos WR
* Kigen Gold in steeple
* US woken sweep 800

My guess is most people don’t have him medaling in their prediction brackets. Don’t see this as bold.

Hmmm fair. It seems to have grown to be consensus. However, he is the defending world champ and 5k/10k WR holder. It also will probably be fast, and nobody else except Kiplimo has demonstrated 26:3x ability or better. I mean Chep ran 26:11 flat for crying out loud. He’s also a very tough athlete (see XC history) so if conditions are poor (ie hot) I think he’ll fair well. Unless there’s some information floating around re injury or something similar, I’m not sure the fact that he hasn’t shown great form since the 10k WR is enough to say he won’t medal.

Japan medals in the 4x100 again.
Woody wins the gold off a blazing finishing kick in a slow race just under 28 minutes.
