You mean when Strug vaulted BEFORE the final Russian on the floor. The Russian who was criminally underscored by the Atlanta Judges. Then NBC when showing the event showed the Russian floor exercise before last Strug's vault, to make it seem like she went last and it was even more dramatic. yes. you've been lied to your entire life by the media. yes, i worked in the production department for that little bit of history alteration.

Actually, please give me a call at 844-538-7786 ext 3 and leave me a voice mail as I'm bad at email.
This is not new, they do it all the time to add more drama. It also has nothing to do with the issue, because as I stated factually, they (USA coaches) did not know if they needed Strug's vault because the Russian had not vaulted yet. However, after Strug's vault, it made it mathematically impossible for the Russians to catch them. Strug's vault effectively won the gold, even though AFTER the Russians vault it turned out that they didn't need it. But as with all things in life, we don't know what would have happened if the circumstances were changed. The Russian's vault might have been very different had there still been a chance for the Russians to win. It's hard to perform when you know you already lost. To say that Strug's vault was not necessary is false. Had she not vaulted, I'm quite sure NBC would have showed it in the correct order because there would have been more "drama" that way with the Russians vaulting for the gold. At 60 years old, I've seen my share of Olympics and the coverage is presented like this in every single one of them. It's never shown in order, they jump around, add in athlete profiles and poignant tidbits and save the best for prime time, where they show it in an order that is more compelling. You are writing a story about something everyone already knows and nobody cares about. It's irrelevant.
Also, whether it was right or wrong for her to vault, again, irrelevant to my point, she did it and is proud she did it to this day.
She's a beast!
