Seriously, what's up with disgusting attacks on people because they are critical of Simone. Like with ultramarine, try being nicer, you don't know him. You're being hypocrites.

Racism surfaces once again on LRC. WOW!
You sure? These same people criticize Connor McGregor. Maybe they just don't like people who stitch a goat into they're uniform to signify how great they are and then quit on the biggest stage. Nobody likes a braggard who can't live up to their own proclaimed GOAT status, they gonna get criticized.

I agree, but what is sad is that girls don't believe in themselves when they can in fact achieve great things and the coach knows it. But it is the coaches job to help build the athletes self-confidence and independence, If they can't do that simple thing, don't pressure your athlete to try to do something they think will get them hurt. You must make it clear to them that perception tends to be reality for people. If you think you'll be fine, you'll most likely be fine. If you think you will get hurt or "suck", that is most likely what will happen. Change you way of thinking, change your reality. If you can do it in practice, you can do it on the competition floor, don't get in your head with negative self talk.
I know I sound like a bad self help book. But if you have a reasonable belief you can achieve something based in some sort of objective reality, you will most likely achieve it.

totally understand where she is coming from and cant imagine the pressure she mustve been under. with that being said...sports psychologists are on every professional team and these athletes have access to the best healthcare available. i sympathize with the millions of americans (and billions around the world) that dont have access to mental health facilities or even healthcare at all.
The pressure she was under was self imposed, athletes need to teach themselves to ignore all "outside pressures" and self doubt, it is easy...just needs to be taught.
I agree people should proactively work on their mental health, and learn how to do so. It is a very important life skill.

My bad, this poll would not be complete without Serena, and just in case you want some runners to direct your bile at add Sha'Carri Richardson and Gabby Thomas to the mix.
The only reason anyone has an issue with Sha'Carri Richardson is the same reason they take issue with Connor McGregor...a lot of people don't like braggards. Some don't approve of smoking on top of being cocky.
But, she owned every bit of it and didn't complain one bit. She deserves no hate from anyone.
She should be applauded for owning her mistakes and I hope learning from them and not repeating them.
She should work on her mental health and never allow it to be an excuse again, like Simon.
Gwen gets my vote lol, there's no excuse for disrespecting the American flag. It symbolizes solidarity with your fellow Americans. Does she not support her brothers and sisters???

Man it must suck to be a little girl looking up these female pro athletes these days. We have women getting banned for eating steroid burritos, then smoking weed. A woman got angry that the national anthem of the country she represents was played to celebrate her making the team. Then there's the purple-haired "activist," millionaire who complains about not getting paid enough, then loses. We have a few athletes who want attention for switching genders every other day (yet are conveniently always female on the days they compete). Now a "goat" quits on her teammates mid-competition because sports are stressful.
Very sad these are the "role-models" for young girls. THINK OF THE CHILDREN!
^True
Gina Carano would be a good role-model I think. Strong, tough, and a really kind person that's overcome a ton of adversity and hate while accomplishing so much.
