How about this fact: Whenever the name Simone Biles is ever mentioned again, people will think one thing: Quitter.
Here's another fact. Whenever an otherwise healthy athlete quits during the middle of a competition because they can't handle the pressure, people will think one thing: Simone Biles.
It's unfortunate, but this is now her legacy.
People won’t think those, though. Running dweebs might, but not people. How angry are you that she is the GOAT?
Angry she's a GOAT?
....OK, angry guy.
How do you explain my lack of anger?
I don't really care as much as you seem to.
My opinion is that Simone Biles crumbled under the pressure of being the GOAT.
She, herself has removed herself from GOAT status by default, willingly.
The Greatest Of All Time doesn't quit in the middle of the biggest competition of all. If she wasn't mentally prepared, the best way to remove herself in light of her mental health would be to do so before the competition began or better, before the Olympics started.
She would maintain her GOAT status if she didn't do this in the heat of battle
No matter what "support" is being spun by NBC, her teammates, and celebrities, they, and we all know, she quit, period.
No perseverance.
No fortitude.
No, she had an spontaneous burst of Fear Of Losing.
Other athletes accept this possibility.
Other GOATs have faced this.
Simone Biles didn't.
She quit, straight up.
Not GOAT material.
GOATs have mental fortitude to forge on regardless of the outcome.
She ran from it.
