I blew up and read the riot act to my son when he told me I should buy a Hyundai Genesis v80 or some junk. Foreign junk. I will never be ok w/ this lust for foreign cars when the American worker lies in carnage.
He also told me about Hassan's triple. I told him the truth about that one.
I felt the same way until GM, Ford and Chrysler moved their plants overseas and started making their cars out of foreign parts. They tell us to "buy American" while they're buying foreign parts and paying foreign workers. I'm plenty loyal to American workers, but loyalty to corporate car execs, when they're disloyal to us, is just stupid.
You're better off buying a BMW or Volvo that are made in South Carolina, a Mercedes that's made in Alabama, Toyota in Kentucky or Honda in Ohio.
Why should we be required to be loyal to American car companies when they're not loyal to us?
