Sport at its best
Kind of feel like this guy totally upstaged hit athlete. He's definitely getting more press than Titmus.
So good. Mike Jagger meets Michael Bolton meets David Bowe meets Thor
These Olympics are great so far. Track and Field will be so good to watch. I can't wait until the events start.
Was that the villain from Die Hard?
really? cuz i thought this was peak cringe even without the weird humping part, which was too far.
but i would like to congratulate the athlete by saying "merry titmus."
The thrill of victory.
(Cue MvDP crashing) And the agony of defeat (or show a Jamin post.)
The air humping of the glass had me rolling. It reminded me of something Kenny Powers would do in East Bound and Down.
Poor Japanese volunteer woman attendant in blue shirt next to wild man had no idea what to do . . . highlight of the meet so far for tv viewers . . .
I also liked the Seward Alaska high school watch party going wild. Better than someone’s living room.

I’m with you on this, and I second the love for the big, rowdy Alaska watch party

Haven't seen the Alaska party...would gather you have never been a coach or a parent of an athlete that achieves at the highest level but maybe someday you'll be lucky enough to feel this elation when your athlete beats the American World Record holder in the Olympics....and she comes from the tiny little island of Tasmania! The home of Stewy McSewyn!!!!hahahaha

I saw some interview with him where he said that he was a big fan of the professional wrestler "Ultimate Warrior". That will explain the dance for you.

He's the coach of the whole Australian team. I saw an interview where he thanked the interviewer for asking him about athletes other than Titmus.
Remember, this was all going on as Titmus was beating Ledecky down the backstretch. Not just anyone, Ledecky of the 22 length victories and the like.
Dude is just Australian.

Yeah, while funny, he knows the cameras are on and goes a little overboard. It may not have been his attention to take away attention from Titmus, but that's exactly what he did. It should have been about her remarkable accomplishment, and instead we are talking about some dude air humping the guard rail.
Even in the video preview that introduced Titmus to the audience, half of it is just him talking (as opposed to just about every single other one that focuses on the athlete). NBC has final say on which parts air, but he obviously felt the need to be very involved in the process.
The Olympics are about the athletes.

Yea, I don't care for this guy's reaction. Seems like the type pf coach that wants the spot light rather than putting the focus on the athlete. It makes for great TV but this guy's ego seems over the top.
Hey, Beavis, he said 'Titmus' uhh uh
mm..nuh..hmm.hm..humm.. Yeah, Titmus
Titmus
Titmus
Well, now we know what sex with this guy is like ...
I liked the Alaska watch party reaction better. USA USA USA
Totally agree. Guarantee he knew the camera was on him. All for show, hoping to get his 15 minutes.
