I notice you lack comprehension. I'll spell it for you. Without a large participation rate and a highly competitive domestic environment the talent necessary to Excell will not be identified and pushed to achieve said results. Conditions that exist for women soccer and men basketball in the USA with the aggravated surpluses of resources being thrown at them.
Still no names. Lots of excuses for crappy US marathoners, but no names. Not one hope in spite of all the resources available to them. A lot easier to crap on the athletes who are actually out there with a chance to win something for the country than to acknowledge that some of them have no shot in hell. But let me know if you think of someone who might win a marathon medal in the next 10
In order to have a meaningful conversation and help you develop some grade of comprehension I'll put the ball in your court.
Please post the revenues or net worth for the starting five on the court at the Olympics ?
Please post the revenues or net worth of the starting eleven on the pitch?
Also please post the revenues and or net worth of the men toeing the line at the start of the marathon for the USA?
That should give you an easy starting point for the reason why no marathon runner from the us should be expected to win.
Not crapping on anyone. Just pointing out that the hype surrounding the WSNT should be brought down a notch since the unfair advantage they shared in the past is running out.
The fact basketball is almost a religion for most in the USA and a team of the most talented struggled because of lack of chemistry but in reality was out coached and out played justify the poor performance of US marathoning ten fold.
