1st race: time trial pretty much. Leading all the way. 3:09, 3:09, 3:09, 3:09 and 3:05 for a 15:42.
Hard effort, around 95%
Wind: 2,7m/s Temp: 16⁰celsius
24 days later:
2nd race: windy day so decided to follow a group for 4km without leading a single step. Didn't care about time at all, would have followed regardless of the pace. 3:08, 3:10, 3:13, 3:09 and 3:05 (no drafting the last km) for a 15:45.
Medium effort, around 85/90%
Wind: 5,5m/s Temp: 26⁰celsius
Without wind I really feel like I could have run by myself consistent 3:05 km's and maybe close the last km around 3:00 for a 15:20.
It was tremendously easier to follow, it felt like I was running in around a 16:20 effort.
There are times to lead and times to follow.
Which race is the best overall?
Is a sub 15 possible in the next 9 months? The 15:42 was after 4 months of consistent training after a year long stop.
14:45 and 8:30 is my goal for next season.
I have 15:36 and 8:56 pr's from 4 years ago.
This season's bests were 15:42 and 9:01 four days after. The 3000m hurt badly.
