Did 5x1k with 60 seconds rest as a predictor workout. The best predictor of course is a 5k race, but I wanted to have somewhat of an insight of what shape I’m in before I go out and try to run a certain pace. Planning on racing a 5k in two weeks, so I wanted to get some sort of figuration of pace before then. It was 92 degrees with the uv rays being a 9/10. I ran 3:01, 3:01, 3:02, 3:00, and 2:58 on a blacktop loop that was a little over half a mile long. Would this put me in low 15 minute shape, or more closer to 15:30 with the rest? Not sure how to calculate the workout with the heat. Could someone give me some insight on how to figure it out?
