If she gets a cortisone shot and has surgery quickly after the Olympics, she is risking not healing properly so. What is that shot worth? A chance out of the semi-finals?

As others have suggested, likely a initial payout from Puma that rolls over into her base pay in subsequent years for the duration of her contract. Over time, it could mean a lot of money.
Or she just wants to line up at the Olympics. I would!
Heel, Meniscus, heel, girl!

Just don't try teaching any hurdling/water jump techniques, as it is tough on a dog's joints. Could cause injury, especially prior to the Dog Olympics.
It depends on the type of tear. From her IG post I believe she said she had a root tear. This means her meniscus is very unstable (assuming she has a complete tear). The meniscus can push away from her joint space effectively making her femur and tibia contact each other without the meniscal padding (painful thus the cortisone injection). The other problem would be if the meniscus moved and flipped locking up her knee joint. If she pushed through this it could destroy her meniscus (right now it may be an easy surgical fix) which would make her future of running a lot less likely. IMHO, it's the Olympics of course she is going, as would I. To me it would be worth the risk.

Evidence would suggest otherwise.
I don't know about women, but Glassboro State's (now Rowen University) Derrick "Ringo" Adamson ran the 84 and 88 Olympic Marathon for Jamaica. He was the Division 3 national steeplechase champion his freshman year.

Seems silly to hurt yourself before the Olympics. Tear your meniscus after instead.
So many people make this easily-avoidable mistake!
Nick Willis got in on ranking as well. He hasn't run under the Olympic standard since 2017. If Willis is deserving, so is Praught.

It's weird and likely due to too many hard effort. 80 to 90 percent of runs should be at an easy pave with a few hard efforts a month. That's how you have a long life running injury free.
