3.49.26. It’s a great effort, not sure exactly what he wanted but a PR and a great blowout. Impressive.
Err I believe he wanted the American record

That drew a bigger crowd than the trials at Eugene! Nice event!
3:49, oh well. It was a shame the pacers dropped off so early right after 800. Rare to see an American sub 3:50 especially easing off at the finish so worth watching just for that.
Not sure if this really changes my view of Centro before the Olympics. If Hocker was in this race I bet he would take it

Can you drive an RV to tokyo?
Went out way too fast.
But hanging on for 3:49.2 is pretty good after 1:51 for the first 800m.
My main concern I that he touched everyone’s hand on his cool down lap.
Vaxxed or not he’s risking a COVID positive test heading into Tokyo.
Very cool of Alan Webb to be genuinely cheering him on over the last lap. Love it.
Unbelievable. All during this thread everyone was boasting and predicting how he would run with pacers and now they're saying he ran alone. Those pacers took him through slower than Monaco and stayed for over 800 and he couldn't hold pace. Excuses.
Fantastic effort in my opinion - obviously to hit a target that has stood for 15 years, everything has to be perfect. Unfortunately, it went out too fast and there was a bit of a burn up over the last 300m. But the reporting is that he is in the best shape of his life, and this supports that with a mile PR

/s?
His fitness will knock COVID right to the curb. Great effort Centro and an excellent workout to get used that fast feeling baby. Centro for GOLD, let's go. Easy win.

Clearly Jerry was way too ambitious!! 😰
Jaeger got caught on hot mic saying Jerry would be disappointed. Then oh we’re back.
Centro needed him tonight.
Pacers let him down there. Didn’t even make it 1000m. Would have been better off with sowinski or wave light.

3:49 low. 55 mid/1:52 to start through 400/800, solo after 1k. Tough.
Not disappointing.
3:31 effort as his last workout before the Olympics.
1k of pacing.
He's probably ready for a 3:30.xx race if he needs it.
1500m is well short of a mile, so he'll be OK in Tokyo.
Should have had pacing lights

I give the dude credit for running with all his fanboys all around the track, that had to be a little tough but think of it this way...it's not going to get any easier in Tokyo with animals that will be there...a 3:32 effort isn't gonna intimidate anyone.

The funny part is the full hugs for the kids and then constantly wiping his nose/head with his hand.
Go back and count how many times he touches his face. It's like a drinking game.
This is going to be fascinating because not just delta going around with 1000 times the viral load but all the kids are getting RSV now.
But hey viruses just bounce off you with the vax right? lol

Rojo has a bit of Archie Bunker in him. He means well.

Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
