I haven't gotten vaccinated because I believe the testing was rushed. I'm 95% sure it's safe, but 5% is too much a risk for me to risk my health. I've known a few people who've had Covid and it seems like a mild flu. I'm not at all worried about getting Covid. If in two to three years, Covid is still a thing and no one I know has suffered serious side effects from being vaccinated, I'll get vaccinated.
And you are both correct and short sighted and your opinion is common. It's not about you (probably young and healthy) and your peers (probably young and healthy) it's about the risk that unvaccinated carriers (you and your peers) pose to those who are higher risk.
I also think everyone should get a flu vaccine each year.
On an installation with thousands of people getting vaccinated the worst side effects I ever heard of was feeling a little sick......pretty much the same as a flu vaccine.
This is correct but it's even more straightforward.
For every age group for which the vaccine is approved, the risks of the vaccine are far outweighed by the risks of COVID.
For anyone who claims we don't fully understand the effects of the vaccine yet, you could say the exact same about COVID which has a much, much more toxic profile. Every day there are more studies on injurious long term effects of COVID in young health adults. They are relatively rare, but far more common than severe side effects of the vaccine.
We’ve been over this too many times. I’ll take my chances of getting the virus instead of getting a shot. Getting the shot just means I get to think about getting the virus and/or vaccine side effects. It’s a no brained for a healthy individual. If the sick and elderly want to get it, power to them. Their health condition and age should not mean I have to change my life.
And you and many others are free to make that choice. Just know you may be putting some of your family, your co-worker's family, etc at risk as the virus spreads.
Lack of empathy seems to be a commonality amongst those against vaccination. The don't tread on me types who can't think outside their own 6ft bubble.
And this is the old lie the liars have used for an entire year. Stop being a lying and dishonest tart and maybe people would be more apt to listen to the other side. Snarkiness and false guilt mongering does not move needles, it sets them in stone. Don't be an idiot and this problem will be closer to being solved.
