Victories are the only middle distance shoe the rest are sprint spikes
I heard the victories are quite unstable when going around curves. I am wondering if they are still a more viable option than the maxfly/Zoom 400 spikes. I do see guys like brazier going with those maxfly and even the superfly Elite, which are indeed sprinters spikes. 1:58 pr guy and probably unwise to use sprinters' spikes but I'm willing to give them a try. What ya think?
Why not the Dragonfly? It’s supposedly a distance spike, but good high schoolers are wearing them for the 800. It’s light enough, I think.

Neither original victory series is still nikes best option for 800

If I remember right, Brannon Kidder wears them for the 800m. If they work for a 1:45 guy that is supposed to be wearing brooks, I think they’ll work for you.
I prefer my victory 3s to my dragonfly’s when running 800m and lower though. You can find pairs on eBay for like 30 bucks.
New Adidas Ambition TYO maybe?

They are, but good luck getting a pair unless you have freakishly large feet.
I see runners like Clayton Murphy wearing the Maxflys in workouts and Brazier wearing them in races. I think they would be a good option, but you should try them on first.
Yeah I agree I just think you need extremely developed lower leg muscles to be able to train and run the 800 in spikes like the max fly which is why they are great for people Murphy and Brazier and probably not so great for runners still working up to a higher level if that makes sense.
I guess so. It seems my only option is the Dragonflies in this current crop of track spikes and the white one looks fine af. Probably my legs won't be able to handle those sprint spikes anyways.
Unfortunately, I don't have large feets so those OG Zoom Victories aren't an option.
