Johnson Bros,
Did you sit in on the Oregon conference call featuring Cole Hocker. Is there any way you can provide a transcript, or a link, to the call? Not much info on the man, and couldn't dredge up much information on the scintillating "Is Cole Hocker Update" thread.
Jonathan Gault was on it. He'll be writing about it i believe.
Is it true he already had Covid? He certainly didn't miss time or have a drop in performance. If he did have Covid, I wouldn't get the vaccine if I was him until after the Olympics.

To all the assholes ripping a young healthy kid for not getting the vaccine (and don't call me an antivaxxer - I've begged a few people I know to get the vaccine including one who is under 35 today), please tell me if you were him when you would have gotten it? From the tweet, above, it wasn't a seamless experience for the elites. My wife was bedridden for a day.
From a coaching standpoint, I'd say, take the first shot the day after NCAA indoors. Of course, people his age weren't eligible way back then.
I was desperate to take the vaccine and didn't get my first shot until april 10th and my 2nd on May 1. if I was him, I wouldn't want to take it 2 weeks before Pac 12 (May 1st). So if you don't take it then, then you certainly aren't going to take it until after the Trials. So maybe he could have gotten it the day after the Trials as I think he took a little down time?
But at the same time, if hasn't gotten covid, to be honest, I think the logical thing for him at that point is to think, "I've made it for like 17 months, I'll just go one more and get it after the Olympics." And if he has already gotten covid, then it's even more of a no-brainer.
So while I'm very glad i got the vaccine, I think he'ss actually probably being quite locgical in not getting at this point as there wan't an obvious time when to get it.
