IDK man. I’ve got 100 miles on my invencibles and I’m on the fence about them. They’re the softest running shoe I’ve ever worn. The rebound is great. I’ve been using them mostly on recovery days, so less than 6 miles.
When I first got them, in NY, I loved them. Didn’t feel the weight and I looked forward to running in them.
Currently in Spain and I don’t enjoy them here. IDK. Maybe it’s the heat??? Maybe it’s where I’m at is boring AF to run??? Did a 12 mile run with them, size 13, and near the end really started feeling the weight.
I’m still using them for recovery days and I sweat like crazy here. Shorts look like I went swimming and the invincibles are soaked near the end of the run too. Like squeaking on the sidewalk, toes feeling slippery.
I also noticed compared to the Endorphin Speeds, there’s zero rocker/rolling feeling off the toes with the Invincible’s. I’m a forefoot striker and there isn’t a nice roll that propels me forward/ moves me through my stride. It’s a great plodder at 9:00-10:00/miles, and I have unintentionally hit 7:30-8:00/miles with ease.
I’m using the insole from the endorphins in the Invincible’s ‘cause I get a hot spot under my left big toe around 4 miles with the stock insoles.
I’m still debating about sending these back to Nike and either doing a pair of React V1 via eBay or trying Novablast or Skechers Max Road 5. The weight of the Invincible’s, plus the insole, plus the increasingly disappointing ride feeling is making consider the return. But, maybe they’re worth $180 to you. This is just my opinion and I wish I lived these as much as I loved React V1, Next%, and Endorphin Speed.
