I'm going into my junior year and am hoping to run at least a 16:30 for my 5k. Last year I only ran a 17:35 after running a 17:45 my sophomore year but that had to due with way less training due to covid and me having to get a job. I ran track and managed to run 4:53 for my mile so I think I have the speed aspect down, what else do I need to do to run that? I've been running all summer and am running around 50 miles a week at the moment. 4 easy days, 2 hard days, and sometimes an extra run on the hard days. Any tips?
