I am 15F, 5’1 and 115 pounds. I know I’m way over a good race weight and I don’t need trolling in the comments since I am posting because I want to change. I am slow but hopefully with some weight loss I will become faster.
How can I lose weight while still training hard to prepare for the xc season in the fall? How do I still have enough to fuel and recover? Do I eat before and after run (I’m a 9AM runner) but no afternoon snacks and skip dinner? Or do I eliminate any empty calories and make sure every calorie is nutritious?
I’ve heard about anorexic girls running their fastest times while losing weight (I’m trying to lose a little weight but not become anorexia, I’m just giving an example), but I’ve also heard you can’t train for max potential while in a caloric deficit, which is it because I am confused?
I have also dealt with an eating disorder in the past and I don’t want it to come back to me now. I’m thinking of my goal weight being 100-105 pounds. Is that an appropriate race weight?
