Hi, I am looking to beat my 5k time of 21:06 which I ran in the fall of 2019.
My mile PR is 5:43, and I ran 80% of my miles this season in the 5:40s or 5:50s. The first race was like a few seconds over 6 and I had just got my second vaccine so idk.... It's funny because I feel like my 5k should be in the 20s, and in general I feel like I'm better at longer events than shorter....
My first race is a 5k, the rest are 6ks. I'd love to sub 21, but is sub 20 a realistic goal at some point (for a 5k)? What about a 6k?
Any quick pacing advice? Even splits, positive, or negative?
I'm 18F btw.
