But they are.
But they are.

Incorrect.
Cole would not have time to train between the Olympics and XC while as it would be suicidal for his track season.
Galen Rupp came back from the Olympics in 2008 and won a NCAA XC title. Justyn Knight came back from worlds in 2017 which ended in early October and won a NCAA XC title. Nationals is late November. There is plenty of time to train for it.

also, what about reed brown?
Reed Browns an interesting/weird case. Footlocker champ but hasn’t done well in anything over mile in college

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think Reed Brown is very injury prone. That’s the vibe I get from the Ben Crawford videos. Either that or he’s very lazy

What’s the point either of them could make a world cross team right now if they wanted to and they are not hunting for titles or times there’s no point they need to recover and train
Could you explain your point a little clearer?
Are you saying there's no value in trying to win an NCAA cross country title, potentially an indoor/outdoor track title as well? If you don't hunt titles what's the point of running at all.
The only possible impediment is World's on the hometown track in July but shooting for a XC title in November should be a no brainer.

Agree. I assume that if copper and cole come back, part of the reasoning is caring about Oregon and the team and wanting to win championships.
In an interview after indoor cooper said he thought they’d either all go pro or all stay and try to get triple crown.
This is true.
If Teare hasn't gone pro yet what is the point now? Could enjoy cc then turn pro before indoor.
Does Lukas Verzbikas still have eligibility?
He can do all of it under the new rules.
I can’t decide what would be better; Ducks, NAU, BYU battling it out for the XC title, or watching Rojo’s head explode if the Ducks actually won.
Oregon's focus is track so they won't win a xc title, and they wouldn't with those guys anyway because NAU and BYU are too deep and talented. Nur and Nico make a pretty solid 1-2 with a 27:50? guy and the guy who paced him to that and was 4th last year.
I was forgetting that NAU signed Kessler. Since he can probably go pro and college at the same time under the new rules, if he runs xc, he'll be competitive as well.

Now you're talking!
Hard to lose when Ducks go 1-2. They only have to score 3 runners against 5 for other teams.
Damn bro! That's Really good question. I wonder if Oregon can find a 5th for cross!!
Is there an echo in here or what?
