I put this thread up to counter that somewhat.
It was such an incredible run. Watching it live, he really didn’t look like he had it in him until he just took off on the final 400. I’m pretty sure he’d have easily gone sub 4 had he gotten in a pro race like Kessler where the whole pack carries it along and he trusted his endurance to run the first three laps a lot faster than he did at Brooks or NASF.
