It’s a big shame. It shows that Americans think they are above the rules and can’t get caught.
Above all it’s the ignorance around everything. It says something if you turn to a grey area substance before your biggest event thinking it won’t matter or let it slide. It matters that you claim innnonce and then vaguely blame it on a food truck.
Even if the rules are stupid. Everyone agreed to them and if aren’t a coach making sure everything is in line with your athletes than it’s just a bad coach
Running is going in the wrong direction for years now. The gap between the top runners and those sub elites to recreational runners is prob alt larger than its ever been. It’s going to cut down on individuals.
Running needs to decided should the top level athletes be treated like other professional athletes and get paid like them. Or should that money be re distributed to all sub elite to give more runners the ability to train (while still holding a job) and see who breaks though.
I think Mary cain may be onto something as how running can become sustainable again.
