I think the rational play for a homeless unemployed person would be to try to find their way to a city like SF with moderate weather year-round and a supportive environment/culture/laws.
They are taking care of the mess for a lot of other places.
Mental gymnastics of a leftist are humorous. Lol
Leftists are like teenagers. Comical.
I live in Marin County, just north of san francisco. I live on the coast and am very lucky to be living in one of the wealthiest counties in the USA. It's incredible having come from the Midwest where the seasons are miserable and there isn't much to do in the way of outdoors (hiking, surfing, snowboarding, trail running, mountain biking etc)
San Francisco has definitely changed a lot since I moved there 14 years ago. I think there are a lot of very dumb "liberal policies" being tried out. In general, I think the far ends of the political spectrum are just idiots. Left and right.
Homelessness is probably the most difficult problem to solve. It involves humans, which we can't just bus out to some camp and forget about them. There is often mental illness, so it's not as easy as just putting them in a house. Many get the opportunity to stay in houses but feel guilty that their homeless friends are still on the streets so they decline the shelter.
Like I mentioned, there are very dumb "liberal" policies being implemented. I am definitely more of a moderate and continue to move closer to the center as I age.
One thing i have noticed as as adult, is that conservatives don't really have ideas trying to solve the problems. It's based on money and the old way of doing things. Or keeping it the status quo.
How about some conservatives put their ideas on the line and actually make some proposals?!
Conservatives usually don't see a problem with the way things are and therefore feel that nothing should change.
That's why conservatives wouldn't fix SF either.
Large scale homelessness is a thing that has never been solved, so quick acting like democrats or republicans, the TWO LAST PLACE TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE, are clever enough to actually solve it.
we're dealing with petty, ineffective morons. both sides. And they hate each other so they are canceling out any chance of progress via congress.
