Same I can't wait for this guy to update us on his son. Sub 4:30 would be adequate and impressive enough for progression, but this kid better break 4 before he graduates of daddy was wrong.
Here's your update...
My kid had a major growth spurt after running 4:19 1500m/4:38 1600m/9:18 3000m as a 13 year old.
Opened his track season last weekend with a 9:09 3000m. Closed in 64 so he's got plenty of time to drop. Probably will run 8:55 or under for 3000m this season.
Running mile on 5/20 in NYC. We'll see what he drops.
Will be at RunningLane Track in both 3200m and mile at end of month.
Doesn't turn 15 until July.
Appreciate the haters. It just fuels the fire.
Lemme get this straight, you arrogantly claim your kid will be better than a record breaking kid.
Then when people question your arrogance, you call them "haters"???
You're like the bully in class wondering why he got hit in the mouth, when someone finally stands up to him.

Lame. Just so lame.
People just don't get it. There is no way to predict what a freshman will run in three years. There is such a wide gap in physical development at that age.
Please, please, please look at these kids actual ages before you start anointing them as the next sub four miler. Progression isn't linear.

Artie,
You said "can't wait for this guy to update on his son. kid better break 4 before he graduates or daddy is wrong"
Manbearpig responded pretty politely and did not argue your rude comment.
Oh Lord you are disgusting. How fast is your son running now? I can bet you are the type of dad who pushes too hard, lives through his son, and drinks. You probably put your kid down, beat your wife, and talk about the good ole days and making America great again.
There was another thread a while back where this guy was proving how unbelievably narcissistic he is. I really pity those kids.
However I bet he doesn't drink. Guys like him desperately need to feel superior to everyone else and an easy way to do that is to look down anyone who would touch the devil's juice and lettuce.
