This thread has potential.
i think being andrew wheating would be pretty cool
Great results for Wheating and Oregon, but 3.47..?
Centro v Hocker was a much better race.

Um...those were NCAA races. Hocker just won the Olympic Trials against a gold medalist in much faster than what you just presented here.
Hocker so far has more promise than Wheating did.
And NO, Matthew C. was NOT a gold medalist yet when at Oregon.

Ignorant post Flagpole. Wheaton won that 800m in 1:45, faster than Hocker has done. Hocker does NOT have more promise than what Wheaton showed before we had the benefit of hindsight. Plus Wheaton did run 1:44 and 3:30 later that year.
Wheating not Wheaton…

Thank you Captain Obvious!

Wheating would have won the Olympic Trials but for a certain bison named Nick Symmonds.
Guess who Cole Hocker lost to in a race? That's right, Nick Symmonds.
And if you were smarter or more intellectually honest you would acknowledge that Centro is not in gold medal form 5 years later.

Ignorant post dude. What was Wheating's 5000m PR?
Exactly.

I am talking about 1:44 and 3:30. Who the hell cares what his 5000 on was? What was Seb Coe’s? How irrelevant can your nonsensical post be?
It was premature 😩

Coe, 14.06 in a one man race. Pretty much a tempo run.

I see you are not very bright... Let me try again.
You used Wheaton's 800m time to compare him with Hocker.
You may not be aware of it but some 1500 m runners are more of the 800/1500 type, while others are more of the 1500/5000 type (like Jakob Ingebrigtsen).
My relevant post was meant to show that you are making a nonsensical comparison using their 800m PRs.
We all remember fondly when AJ Acosta solo'ed a 3:34 1500 ahead of that NCAA Championships, and Jack Bolas who was famous for solo'ing 3:36 1500s in the prelims and split 3:51 in some indoor DMR splits.

OK let us talk 1500m. 3:30 for Wheating. Case closed idiot. Read the subject of my thread and learn.

55 last lap in a 3:47 race versus 52 last lap in a 3:35 race.
Agreed, really doesn't compare.
