Yes.
Hocker does need the standard because he’s not ranked.

People overreacting to Hobbs winning a slow 1st round race. He ain’t making the team this year.

The eye test after the first round tells me:
1. Centro
2. Hocker
3. Engels
4. Kessler
Kessler goes as Hocker won’t get the standard.
Man the people who post here are stupid.
What the F? Why did they let 24 of 29 athletes through? Why even run heats?
According to this, it seems Hocker needs the standard.

A semi consists of 24 runners.
They ran heats because the process is they need to run 3 rounds.
It’s not like they jogged the opening round either.
Now if your question is why did they have only 29 athletes when 36 actually fills 3 heats, then I don’t know.
It wasn’t lack of fast runners.

Only if you don’t understand it.
Explain. I read the piece from Crazy Rose Monday that said if you’re on the list Kocker is on, you better get the standard.
Hocker

Hello retard. The word you are looking for is syntax.
Hello Sopa. What charm school did you attend?

all 3 guys are stable, reliable.
nuguse is in 331 shape as well.
on another topic, Athing Mu, the first female athlete i rooted for, due to her being actually a woman. stable for the 155, or even 154.
could be wrong, but nothing but right this year.

I thought so until I saw Hocker drop Nuguse. Centro is the tactician. All Hocker had to do is stay on his shoulder the entire race and then outline him in last 100.
I know you corrected it to "outkick" but "outline" would be a little dramatic. Makes me think of a chalk outline in a homicide investigation.
The one with the best pharmacist.
Not sure if Kessler will go, but he ran the smartest. Running slow to get an auto-qualifier is perfect. The knock on him so far is that he hasn't navigated the rounds before but he's showing maturity. If he gets to the final, I wouldn't bet against him going top 3

Why not just admit you’re wrong?
As of today, Hocker needs the standard. He is next best by World Ranking. That means he isn’t automatically defaulted in.
However, there is a very strong chance that if he finishes top 3 at the USA championships, he will be move up in the world rankings in the next iteration.
“Rojo”
What does “who you have got” mean?
Centro looks like he had some tasty burritos.
Hate to see a guy with TWO consecutive coaches linked to doping make the team, but here we are.
Nuguse / Hocker taking down Centro is the equivalent of centro taking down Lagat for the first time in 2011 or 2012, I forget which.
The social media kids of the world think centro in washed and most post college runners cannot believe centro will lose.
Centro is going to get a taste of his own medicine when he was 22. It will be close...
1. Nuguse (runs well in the heat, if he doesn’t lead like he stupidly did at ncaa)
2. Hocker
3. Centro
Any predictions on who will surprisingly get knocked out in the semis?
