"Centro will thrash Jakob at the Olympics."

Centro at 28 couldn´t beat 17 year old Jakob even though he had 3 opportunities.
But now you think 31 year old Centro can beat Jakob at 20? Nothing is impossible but I think you could make a fortune at the bookmaker if you you turn out to be right!
There's a reason they call it a race. There's a reason the the Olympics is different from a DL or a big name race with pacers. Everything's on the line. Nerves step in. Tactics become more important.
I'm not saying Centro will win. I'm not even saying he'll make the team. They will run the races and we will find out.
I am saying, though, that no one expected Centro to win in 2016. Kiprop had owned him. Souleiman had owned him.
That's the reason I like the Olympics. It's only every 4 years. You have to make the team. You have to make the rounds. There's no pacers (most of the time). You have to do everything right, and no one knows who will win. As much as we think we do.
Very good post. I hope Centro does well. He manages the pressure well, is an outstanding racer, and a winner.

Facts.
centro with symmonds are the two best racers i've ever seen.
they max out with perfect tactics. time and again.
oh ya, ovett too.
gonna be a great final.\
but centro stands to make the boys look like boys.
What does Centro take to lean out so much when it’s time to peak?
He looks much leaner than even a few weeks ago.
Is it a kenacort-like substance like the cyclists use to get ultra kean while retaining strength?
Corticosteroids are pretty dangerous, but nothing would surprise me at this point. There are some human bodies that just aren’t possible naturally in this sport, and we saw a few of them during the NOP heyday. Anybody remember that picture of Rupp’s legs with rippling veins everywhere? I’ve only seen people look like that taking HGH, T4, test, and often a cutting agent, like clenbuterol.
Centro has one of those bodies too.
And mahkloufi, don’t get me started. Shockingly obvious.

I can’t get a read on you Steve. Sometimes you say really funny stuff that indicates charisma and normalcy, and other times you say things that make me think you’ve never interacted with a human in real life and must be the social outcast of your school.
He made that first round look ridiculously easy. If he doesn't get popped for doping between now and then he's my favorite for making the team.
Centro may not have the best kick anymore, but man, does he know how to conserve his strength.
Positioned himself in the heat wisely, Engels and Hocker definitely worked harder.
Also, he looks REALLY skinny, making Hocker look thicc.
It’s not just the 2016 win but he beat faster runners getting a Silver in the 2013 World Championships, Bronze in 2011 and 4th in 2012.
In his PR year of 2015, he finished 8th.
He wasn’t healthy in 2017 and then another 8th on 2019.
He made 6 world finals in 7 tries.
But he never makes the top ten world list.
He’s a racer.

Centro is such a baller.
2011- bronze
2012- 4th
2013- silver
2016- gold
2021– looking good again.
Unprecedented MD success in USA history.
HAVING SAID THAT, I’m glad others notice his physical changes.
He always looks insanely lean during championship season. How? Other US 1500 athletes do not exhibit the same change.
Is it just intense calorie restriction?
Is it thyroid meds so popular with NOP and BTC?
Is it something more powerful, like the aforementioned kenacort, or something else?

I’m sure they do take those “prescriptions” still but I think it more of the BTC taking the idea of every pound over boarder line healthy weight is going to slow you down at this point it’s a pretty accepted idea in racing just not many are willing to do it as being at that body weight has miserable effect on hormones and how you feel day to day
